South Korea will see a repeated pattern of heavy rain and heat for the next couple of days. Tomorrow, a monsoonal weather system will enter the country, causing nationwide showers. With the cold rain, sweltering conditions will take a brief respite. But a high pressure system will settle into the nation this weekend, bringing a surge of warm, humid air. This heatwave will also be temporary, as heavy showers will blanket the nation again early next week.
The rainclouds that are coming in tomorrow will contain heavy moisture. Northern Gyeonggi-do, the Jeolla-do provinces and Jeju Island will see up to 120 millimeters of rainfall. Parts of central regions, including the capital, will see 30 to 100 millimeters. Keep in mind that some regions will see locally heavy downpours of 30 to 50 millimeters per hour. Those in low-lying areas, please be extra careful as flooding is possible.
Morning lows in Seoul and Gwangju will start of at 23 degrees Celsius.
Daily highs in Seoul and Busan will reach 25 degrees. Daegu 31. Gwangju 28 degrees.
This weekend, partly cloudy skies are in the forecast for the capital region.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
