The extreme summer heatwave that had been subsiding at the start of the week, is intensifying again. In fact, heatwave warnings are back in place in the capital area. As you can see, the intense heatwave is roasting much of South Korea. Hotter conditions are forecast for tomorrow. There will be some passing showers for inland regions, but the top temperature in most areas will be higher than today.
Under this baking heatwave, inland regions including parts of Chungcheong-do provinces and the south of the country will see isolated showers. For tonight, 5 to 40 millimeters are expected overall. Narrow but heavy rain clouds may bring local downpours of 30 millimeters per hour in some areas.
The capital will see periodic clouds for the morning hours. Lows will range from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius.
More widespread showers are forecast for the daytime. Seoul and Gwangju will get up to 34 degrees. Daejeon 35 degrees. Daegu 36 degrees.
Temperatures will feel close to 35 degrees until Friday for most inland regions. On Saturday, nationwide showers are in the forecast.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
