KOTRA signs MOU with 15 foreign chambers of commerce to help expat workers in Korea Updated: 2021-12-09 18:40:23 KST

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency signed an MOU with fifteen foreign chambers of commerce in Korea promising to provide economy-related educational programs for expats working in foreign companies here.

"There are many foreign chambers of commerce here in Korea and I hope the MOU will help them grow close to each other and exchange ideas. In a way, it'll contribute to detecting good business opportunities and trouble-shooting problems through mutual discussion."

Monthly topics for the so-called “Business-Plus Forum," which will be chosen by KOTRA and the 15 chambers will include recent domestic economic and industrial trends as well as risk prevention.
Among those present at Thursday's launch event were the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea, James Kim and the Italian Ambassador to Korea, Federico Failla.
The program which will be in English is slated to start in March and will be held once a month in person.
