North Korea on Sunday condemned a new agreement between South Korea, the U.S., and Japan to strengthen their military ties, saying it's an American attempt to create an Asian NATO.
Earlier in the week, President Yoon Suk-yeol met with his American and Japanese counterparts on the sidelines of the NATO summit to discuss three-way military cooperation.
According to North Korea's state media, the regime's foreign ministry spokesperson said, the move shows Washington's real intention, which North Korea believes is to create an Asian NATO to counter Russia and China.
The regime also said it threatens world peace and security.
